Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji written update April 18, 2017: Kanak tries to commit suicide

Bhabho is disturbed as she has been asked to do Kanak's kanyadaan. Kanak's visa gets rejected as her picture got spoilt and the visa officer refused to accept them. Mayanks' mother tells her that she would have to postpone the wedding by six months as Mayank wouldn't get an off from work until then.
As soon as Kanak, Ved and Vansh reach home, they see Bhabho's hand being burnt.They rush towards her and put her hand in cold water. Meena comes and reveals that she did this on purpose, so that she won't have to do Kanak's kanyadaan. Kanak hears Meena saying that and gets emotional. She then confronts Bhabho and questions her. Bhabho reveals that she hates Kanak because it was because of her that she lost her son and daughter-in-law. When Ved comes forward to ask the reason behind Kanak being the reason for their death, she tells that when Hanumaan Gali was attacked, Sooraj and Sandhya saved everyone, except themselves.
She further says that Sooraj and Sandhya managed saving everyone, but then they received a call from one of the attackers who had kept Kanak as their hostage. They were asked to eat a tablet which had a bomb in it and they died because of it. Bhabho says that they gave up their lives because of Kanak and that is why she hates her.
After hearing all this, Kanak is inconsolable and leaves from the house. Everyone looks for Kanak in the house and look tensed. Ved and Vansh leave the house to look for their sister. Babasa blames Bhabho for all that is happening. Meena consoles Babasa.
Meanwhile, Payal decks up as a bride for her 'Gauna' and is quite unhappy about it. She calls Ved as he is her last hope. Ved doesn't pick up the phone, so she has no other choice, but to go for her gauna and Uma Shankar makes her do all rituals with a picture of his missing brother. She opens the knot and runs away from the venue.

Kanak runs to a fort and climbs the stairs to commit suicide. As soon as she steps forward to commit suicide, she hears Payal crying and Uma Shankar telling him about how she wants to end her life. She explains her about how a person can make his life important even during the hardships of life. Kanak overhears their conversation and stops herself from the extreme step she was about to take.
Payal goes back and takes Pheras with the picture of Aditya and Kanak happily returns from the fort.
