A week after quitting 'Rajni_Kant', Shiny Doshi bags the lead role in 'Jamai Raja'

It’s barely been a week since Shiny Doshi quit the TV show 'Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kant' as she was unhappy with the way her character shaped up. And now, she has already bagged her next project. The actress will play the new protagonist Raima opposite Nia Sharma and Ravi Dubey’s onscreen son, Satya (to be played by Ravi again) in 'Jamai Raja' post the 20-year leap.It was reported that actress Mahhi Vij was being considered for the part, but our source associated with the show quashes the rumour. “Mahhi wasn’t even approached. There were also reports of newbie Sushmita Bhandari being considered for the part, but even that isn’t true,” says the source.
Talking about bagging a new project in just a week’s time, Shiny says, “I think I am blessed. Though the tracks of Indian soaps are altered based on the ratings, I don’t fear TRPs. I am certain that if I am able to play a role with conviction, it will be liked by the audience.”
