NEW DELHI: Delhi police DCP Premnath has left for the United States with
Sunanda Pushkar's viscera and it will be examined at FBI’s lab there.
Earlier on Thursday morning, former Union minister
Shashi Tharoor joined police investigations in connection with the mysterious death of his wife Sunanda.
Shashi Tharoor was questioned for five hours by Delhi Police's SIT. This is the second time that police have questioned Tharoor.
The questioning was conducted by DCP P S Kushwah and senior inspector Rajender Singh.
The SIT had prepared a fresh questionnaire for Tharoor after studying his answers of the questions asked earlier.
The SIT asked around 20 more questions, sources said.
Tharoor arrived at the Sarojini Nagar police station at 10.30am. He was accompanied by a battery of lawyers in the other car.
From Sarojini Nagar, Tharoor was taken to SIT's office at Vasant Vihar for questioning at around 11.30am.
Sources say, Tharoor's domestic helpers Narain Singh and Bajrangi have also been called in for questioning.
According to reports, Tharoor was questioned on the IPL-related issues, including the Rs 75 crore equity owned in the Kochi Tuskers team and later given up by Sunanda Pushkar.
Last time also, he was questioned at SIT's office in Vasant Vihar.
