Gauamiputra Satakarni Box Office Collection: The film registers Balayya's career's best openings on Day 1

'Gautamiputra Satakarni' started off with solid collections at the box office, releasing the day after Chiranjeevi's 'Khaidi No 150'. The movie turned out to become the actors 100th outing as a hero and is racing ahead with steady collections.

The release date recorded highest openings for the actor in his entire career. In overseas too, the film notched up $357K from 117 locations and is continuing with packed shows until the weekend.The movie, which has high-octane war sequences, directed by Jagarlamudi Krish, based on the life and victory of Satavahana king, Satakarni has raked over Rs 20 crore on the first day in the Telugu states.

The movie starring Balakrishna as Satavahana prince has Shriya Saran and Hema Malini in pivotal roles. GPSK is running successfully with packed houses both in Telugu states and in overseas. Being a record breaker for both Balakrishna and Krish, the movie is bought for a whopping Rs 46.8 crores which is considered a success for the makers already. But it is not over as yet and the movie is promising to hit the 1 million club, very soon.
