Allu Sirish's next title inspired by Kannada serial

When most Kannada films seek inspiration from Tamil and Telugu cinema, here's an interesting reversal. Allu Sirish, who was in town recently for his cousin Sreeja's wedding, revealed to us that his upcoming Telugu film, Srirasthu Subhamasthu, has a very interesting tale when it comes to its title. 'This is a family drama and entertainer. We wanted a title that's new and different, which will resonate with Telugu audiences.I was looking at the list of recent releases in Kannada and Tamil films for interesting titles. This was when we came across the title Srirasthu Subhamasthu, which we found out was the name of a hugely popular serial in Kannada. Since it also has a very familiar ring to the family drama that we were planning, we chose it,' says Sirish. Coincidentally, this film will also feature some Bengaluru names. While Sumalatha Ambareesh plays his mother in this film, which marks her Tollywood comeback, Prakash Raj and Sumithra will also be seen in pivotal roles.
