Sambhavna bids goodbye to Bhojpuri cinema?

Sambhavna Seth, who was once quite active in the Bhojpuri cinema, says she has bid goodbye to the industry.

"I don't do much work in Bhojpuri cinema now 'coz the budgets of the movies there are very less. Even though the scripts are good, there is no money in the projects. Mujhe pachchas gaane nahi karne, instead I am happy doing five songs elsewhere which pays me well. Bhojpuri cinema lacks quality not because there are no producers but the producers there work with a mindset ki sasti film banani hai.They don't want to pump in money to make a quality film. Bhojpuri mein achhi scripts hai, achhe directors hai but money nahi hai," she says, adding, "Surprisingly, there was not even a single contestant this year in Bigg Boss from the Bhojpuri cinema. Kisi ne socha aisa kyun? Ab koi aisa name hi nahi hai uss industry mein which can be brought forward. Bhojpuri industry ka ab koi buzz nahi hai. Aisa nahi hai ki regional cinemas are not doing good. See for example the Bengali cinema. You have such mind blowing movies being made there. Marathi films dekho, South ki movies dekho - amazing work happening there."
