MUMBAI: Bollywood yesteryear superstar Dilip Kumar's health condition has improved significantly over the last 24 hours. The doctors at Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, where he has been undergoing treatment since Wednesday, said if his condition improves further, he may be discharged soon. Kumar was rushed to the Bandra hospital with fever and dehydration. By Thursday, his kidney functions have started deteriorating rapidly. Doctors were even contemplating dialysis but decided to wait for one more day. By Friday, his kidneys functions began to improve."His creatinine and potassium levels have been stabilizing. He is also able to breathe on his own without an oxygen mask. His condition is much better now," said Ajaykumar Pandey, vice president of the hospital. "If he continues to improve, we may think of discharging him in few days," he said.The actor continued to be admitted in the ICU for better observation. He is taking treatment under nephrologist Dr Arun Shah and cardiologist Dr Nitin Gokhale. Doctors said that Kumar has been eating his meals and talking to his family and relatives.
