Mohit Suri made Emraan and Vidya shoot in a sandstorm for 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani'

Mohit Suri's understanding of romance is distinct and for a particular scene in his upcoming film Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Suri wanted to shoot in a sandstorm to denote the turbulence in the relationship of its lead characters played by Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan.

A source from the film's production team says, "He wanted to capture a sandstorm shot and use it as a metaphor for the impending trouble brewing between the romance of Emraan and Vidya. In UAE (where we were shooting the film), there was a very small window to shoot this sequence before the sandstorm lashed on. However, on the given day the calculations went all haywire as the weather became extreme and Mohit was advised to not shoot.Emraan and Vidya stepped up and told him that they don't mind trying to get the shot before the sandstorm trapped them. When Mohit said action, the scene was taken in just one shot! The cast and crew made it to the hotel and in safety just in time. And the shot is part of the film as Mohit wanted it to be - a metaphor signifying the impending trouble coming in their relationship."
Hamari Adhuri Kahani comes after Suri's Ek Villain which was a big hit. The film that releases on June 12, stars Emraan and Vidya along with Rajkummar Rao.
