Bollywood and Hollywood, both have tasted success with films in 3D. The upcoming visual effects extravaganza, 'Mr. X', in which Emraan Hashmi plays an invisible man, too has the industry upbeat about hitting the right note with the audience. The film revolves around a daredevil cop who gets entangled in a treacherous plot, wherein his enemies want him dead. However, he survives the assassination attempt despite being severely injured and a chemical reaction from the medicine injected to cure him, leads to his becoming invisible.
That’s when he takes the law into his hands and seeks vengeance from all those who have wronged him. Thus

While we’re also releasing the movie in 2D, it is going to be best enjoyed in its 3D format.” Mahesh Bhatt, one of the producers of the film, adds, “From the time the protagonist becomes invisible, which is right at the start, the movie has abundant scenes that stand out for the way the VFX has been executed. Invisibility is a cool power to be seen in 3D. I was blown away by the VFX and I’d like everyone to watch it in 3D.”
Previous Hindi films in 3D that became box office hits include Emraan’s own 'Raaz 3' and Remo D’Souza’s 'ABCD — Any Body Can Dance', among others. Hollywood, too, has had a superhit run in this format with films like 'Life Of Pi', Avatar and some superhero flicks.
Mr. X, produced by Vishesh Films and presented by Fox Star Studios, releases April 17.
