Dharmendra to write his biography

Several journalists and writers have over the years, approached Dharmendra with requests to write his biography.
But the star has turned down all offers, insisting that he wants to write his story, in his words. So the star who redefined machismo in Bollywood, with generous dollops of charm, has been chipping away at his pet project ­the story of his life. We believe the exercise has also helped him indulge his other passion ­ poetry.And every paragraph has flourishes of his original verse.

The one person who has been privy to his progress is Hema Malini, who we hear, is amused with the effort. While she has put her faith in Dharam-ji's literary ambition, she is of the opinion that a professional writer may just come in handy. The hunt is on for a writer with a certain felicity with language and enough passion for cinema of a certain era to do justice to the magnum opus. We know of a dozen at least out there with their hands in the air.
