Shiney Ahuja has found some relief now and he is able to devote time to his family and work.
Also, his friends in the industry like Sudhir Mishra and
Anurag Basu who stood by him in his most difficult times have offered him roles in their upcoming films. The actor's last release was
Hijack with
Esha Deol in 2009. Soon after that he got embroiled in a controversy and he was accused of raping his maid.
And once on bail, he got back to work May last with the horror film
Ghost. But, currently what appears to be Shiney's major problem is that he has become a soft target with accusations of misbehaviour, molestationhurled at him time and again.
What is surprising is the accusation levelled against him by the director of Ghost Puja Bedi. Right under her actor's nose, the petite director says, " Voh(Shiney) ek gira hua insaan haiOn the first day of the shoot he came, shut the door and said he wanted to spend time with me alone" So why didn't she lodge a police complaint, why did she continue making this film with Shiney? Puja claims to be an expert in marketing and says that she had had a long association with Mani Ratnam. One wonders whether she is telling the truth about Shiney, or is this is one of her master plans and gimmickry to market her film Ghost. And Shiney has decided not to react. He doesn't want to give any clarifications to anybody. When probed about the latest allegations by Puja, Shiney says, "I have stopped reacting to such gossip as they are baseless." He further adds, "Misfortune never comes alone. Till the time I'm deprived of justice, such controversies will always hover around. Best way to tackle them is to stop paying heed."The actor says that he's content with the support of his family and close friends. He gives full credit to his two-year-old daughter and calls her the prime reason for the confident person he is today. "I was in a state of shock when the rape case controversy happened. It took me some time for the facts to sink in. I was completely shattered but my daughter became my healing ailment in these two years," says the actor. He further adds, "These two years, I have seen her grow up and trust me, it was the most beautiful thing that ever happened me, after the successful beginning of my film career.""
