'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' second-weekend box-office collection: Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer rakes in Rs 18.75 crore

Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pedneker starrer 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is going strong at the box office with each passing day. According to a report on BoxofficeIndia.com, the film has now raked in as much as Rs 18.75 crore over its second weekend.

The total collection of the film has gone beyond Rs 100 crore within days of its release and now it stands at 112.75 crore.The second weekend started on a good note with Rs 3.75 crore on Friday followed by Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 8.75 crore on Sunday.

'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' is a love story set in the Nandgaon region of Mathura and addresses the issue of open defecation. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film is a love story revolving around the problem of open defecation in India while promoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cleanliness initiative - Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Khiladi Kumar also released a Toilet Anthem days before the film hit the screens.
