Sufi gospel singer Sonam Kalra performs in Jaipur at a charity event for the welfare of stray animals

Jaipurites are pretty concerned when it comes to showcasing their concern for the animals. And this musical gig organized to raise funds for the welfare of stray animals in the city was no different. Calling all the animal lovers of the city, the NGO, Help In Suffering (HIS), organized a charity fund raising evening.
Blending song, music and words all together, the sufi gospel singer Sonam Kalra, with the members of her band, performed to a full house on Saturday evening.“No matter what the lyrics are, there is but one language, which brings different faiths together and speaks in one language of music. And I am glad that this gig has one more added charm associated with it, and that is the message of social cause,” said Sonam.
Overwhelmed with the response, Timmie Kumar, managing trustee, HIS said, “I am touched to see the response. Jaipur is really concerned for ailing and homeless animals.”
