Movie actors and other celebrities have been leaving autographed cement handprints at the TCL Chinese Theater since the 1920s.
Posting about the ceremony afterwards on Twitter, Johnson, 43, simply said he felt "blessed," reported People magazine.
Though the handprint ceremony celebrates a performer's entire body of work, Johnson's latest film, the earthquake disaster film "San Andreas", hits theatres on May 29.
