The team of popular crime show 'Savdhaan India' has set up base in Noida this week to shoot for two episodes for its upcoming season in the city. Led by the show’s host Sushant Singh, the team braved Noida’s heat and humidity to shoot at a remote village outside Greater Noida on Wednesday, followed by a sequence in Film City on Thursday.
The team first shot at Maincha village on the outskirts of Greater Noida. The small village became both rural UP and rural Punjab for the show. According to the makers, they chose the village because it gave them the setting of rural UP and it was not very far from NCR. Sushant Singh, who hails from Bijnor, said, “I belong to West UP, so I have seen the rural side of this region. It’s a typical village with mud houses and narrow lanes.” The crew filmed a scene that showed a young engineer return to his house in the village after studying abroad. This was followed by a segment with Sushant.

With the temperature touching 42 degrees, the team had a hard time shooting. “Residents of the houses near which we are shooting have been gracious enough to arrange for room coolers and table fans, but since we are shooting outdoors, these appliances have very little effect,” an actor remarked.
Sachin Khot, the director, said, “The entire schedule has been a hot one. Thankfully, we are not shooting with kids here, something we had to do in another location last month. But since the story called for a rural UP feel, we found this place perfect. You just have to endure the heat.”
On Thursday, Sushant shot for an anchoring sequence at two locations in Film City. Sachin said, “We wanted to show a corporate set-up, with huge office buildings and swanky locations. And Noida is perfect for that. We had to shoot an episode that shows workplace harassment. Moreover, the actual incident we based our episode on was from Delhi, so we wanted to shoot in NCR. We had finished the shooting for the episode in May itself, but we came back to the same location for the anchor link (a sequence involving the narrator of the stories) of the episode.”
The team also shot at a private school near Pari Chowk in Greater Noida.
