Heavy rains hit train services in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Heavy rains crippled suburban and long distance train services on Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway (CR) lines.
CR spokesperson said, "Services are suspended between CST-Kurla on main as well as harbour line. Thane-Karjat/Kasara, Vashi-Panvel and Transharbour services are running."
On CR, tracks are submerged at Kurla, Vikhroli, Sion and Parel. On harbour line, water level had reached the height of platform at Chunabhatti station.
On WR, slow corridor services have been suspended due to heavy water logging at Matunga.WR officials said, "Fast line corridor were not suspended but trains were running at "snail's place".
Waterlogging on tracks due to heavy rains has forced Western Railway to operate and terminate few long distance train from Borivali and Andheri on Friday.
12934 Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central Karnavati Express will be terminated at Borivali and will be reversed from Borivali at 14.22 hrs. as Train No 12933 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Karnavati Express.
12932 Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central Double Decker Express will be terminated at Borivali and will be reversed from Borivali at 15.00 hrs as Train No 12931 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Double Dekor Express.
12922 Surat- Mumbai Central Flying Ranee Express will be terminated at Andheri and will be reversed from Andheri at 18.21 hrs as Train No 12921 Mumbai Central - Surat Flying Ranee Express.
59024 Valsad- Mumbai Central Fast Passenger will be terminated at Andheri and will be reversed from Andheri at 18.35 hrs as Train No 59023 Mumbai Central - Valsad Fast Passenger .
12960 Bhuj – Dadar Express will be terminated at Borivali .
59440 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Passenger will be terminated at Palghar and will be reversed as Train No 59439 to Ahmedabad.
Mumbai: Central Railway has been forced to cancel few long distance train on Friday and Saturday due to heavy rains in Mumbai.
Following trains are canceled on June 19: 22105 Mumbai-Pune Indrayani Express
12169 Pune-Solapur Intercity Express
12170 Solapur-Pune Intercity Express
22106 Pune-Mumbai Indrayani Express
12051 Dadar-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express
17617 Mumbai-Hazur Sahib Nanded Tapovan Express
51153 Mumbai-Bhusaval Passenger
Long distance services too were affected. CR spokesperson said Deccan Queen, Panchavati Express and Pragati express from Mumbai have been cancelled. As many as 17 trains were stuck between CST-Kalyan.
However, Metro services on Versova-Andheri-Ghatkop corridor and Mono rail services were running normal.
