Official and unofficial Twitter handles had prior info on Paneerselvam's Marina declaration, started tweeting immediately

CHENNAI: Insiders in the AIADMK were well aware of Tamil Nadu chief minister O Paneerselvam's intention to make an announcement on Marina Beach long before the event, said sources in the party.
The proof of the pudding - or in this case the rebellion against the party's general secretary V K Sasikala’s plan to take the top post -- was when the Twitter handle @AIADMKOfficial came out with a clarification at 8pm on Tuesday.The clarification, said, "@CMOTamilNadu is not the official Twitter handle of Honourable chief minister of Tamil Nadu."
Meanwhile, the handle in question, minutes before Paneerselvam started his meditation at former CM J Jayalalithaa's memorial - started gearing up. The handle first tweeted -- "To all supporters of @CMOTamilNadu, thanks for your encouragement - this is a handle maintained by a staunch #AIADMK loyalist. Only intention of the handle is to spread the good work of Amma’s government.”
As Paneerselvam narrated the events that had led up to his forced resignation, the Twitter handle started live tweeting his quotes. "I will be ready to fight even alone - CM"
"I was informed that Sasikala should take over as CM. When I asked what's the necessity, they told me one person should have both posts - CM." Highly placed sources in the AIADMK said that the handle is currently backed by one of the party MLAs themselves.
"There have always been strong undercurrents of opposition to the family's takeover of the party. We strongly resent such tactics. The constant sidelining and humiliation of a respected person like Paneerselvam was also a burr in our sides," said a minister.
